Rune Voss, a former FBI psychological consultant and gifted pianist, fakes blindness and moves next‑door to Alaric Cross, the mafia heir who shot his pregnant wife Solveig. He plans to infiltrate the Cross crime family for revenge. As Rune carries out his scheme, complicated feelings gradually grow between them amid manipulation and temptation. When his identity is exposed, both men are trapped between hatred, guilt and genuine affection. Later they join hands to bring down the cruel family patriarch. After years of separation and redemption, the two broken men finally lay down the weight of the past and build a tender new life together, reconciling with grief and old wounds.
