Drama Scout
Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask before running their first lookup.
What exactly is a TikTok short drama?
A scripted vertical series released as a run of standalone TikTok posts, typically 60 to 100 episodes of 60 to 120 seconds each. Production is fast and formulaic, and the whole run often totals less than two hours.
Why can I not just open the series page on TikTok?
TikTok has no full series page in its public interface - episodes are published as ordinary standalone posts. This tool recognises which series a post belongs to and reassembles the complete profile for you.
What information does the lookup actually read?
Title, synopsis, episode count, cumulative view count, total duration and genre tags - all publicly visible on the TikTok page you linked. Nothing private is accessed and no account is required.
Do I need to log in?
No. Lookups and browsing never require an account. When downloading is available, it works without logging in too.
Where are the downloaded files stored?
On your own device. The whole series is packed into one ZIP and saved to your browser's downloads folder - nothing is kept on our side.
What exactly do I get when I download?
A single ZIP containing every episode as a numbered MP4, in order, ready to watch offline.
Is downloading legal?
It depends on what you are downloading and why. Keeping a copy of content you own or are licensed to use is generally fine; copying and redistributing somebody else's series is not. Check your local rules and TikTok's terms before you save anything.
How does a series end up on this site?
The first time anyone identifies an episode, the series profile is written to storage and a permanent page is generated for it. That page then appears in the index, in its genre collections and in the sitemap.
Can I have a series page removed?
Yes. Pages only carry publicly published metadata and no media, but if you are a rights holder and want an entry removed, contact us and it will be deleted.
